Metal Roofing Project Manager
Full-Time | W-2 | Company Vehicle Provided
Fortitude Roofing is hiring a full-time Metal Roofing Project Manager to support the continued growth of our metal roofing division in Eastern North Carolina. This role is ideal for an experienced metal roofing professional with hands-on fabrication experience and jobsite leadership capability.
This position combines metal fabrication, project management, and field supervision. You will operate metal roofing equipment, manage materials, coordinate install crews, and communicate directly with homeowners and building owners.
Job Responsibilities
Metal Roofing Fabrication & Equipment Operation
  • Operate and maintain the Englert FP1500 metal panel machine
  • Take delivery, inventory, and properly store metal roofing coils
  • De-coil and slit metal coils accurately and safely
  • Fabricate metal roofing trim and accessories to specification
  • Operate Van Mark Metal Master Brake, slitting tools, and forming tools
  • Safely operate a forklift for material handling
Metal Roofing Project & Jobsite Management
  • Coordinate daily schedules with metal roofing installation teams
  • Supervise metal roofing installations to Fortitude Roofing quality standards
  • Ensure proper layout, panel installation, trim fitment, and finish details
  • Enforce jobsite safety, cleanliness, and workmanship expectations
  • Resolve jobsite issues quickly to keep projects on schedule
Customer & Team Communication
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and commercial building owners
  • Provide clear job updates and manage customer expectations
  • Coordinate internally with production, operations, and leadership teams
Documentation & Production Systems
  • Use CompanyCam for job photos, progress documentation, and quality control
  • Use JobNimbus for job tracking, notes, and customer communication
  • Ensure accurate job records from fabrication through completion
Requirements
Required Experience & Skills
  • Proven metal roofing experience (required)
  • Experience operating metal roofing fabrication equipment
  • Ability to fabricate standing seam panels and metal trim
  • Ability to read metal roofing layouts, details, and specifications
  • Strong jobsite leadership and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to travel throughout Eastern North Carolina
  • Physically capable of hands-on metal roofing and fabrication work
  • Forklift experience preferred
