Our Edmonton Branch, is currently searching for a Roofing  Manager, in which the Roofing Manger is required to manage, and direct the roofing production regarding safety, performance, quality and growth. The Roofing Manager works closely with the site Foreman in order to ensure that all material, labour coordination/acquisition, pre-planning of work areas and clarification of installation methods are in place. 
 
A Day In The Life
  • Ensure that all roofing operations on each project comply with and adhere to Flynn's safety and health policies
  • Communicate daily with assigned site foremen, superintendents and project teams to ensure production expectations are achievable and all barriers to success are removed through coordination of additional resources or communication with the client and other trades.
  • Attend Pre Construction meetings with project team to advise on labor requirements and production challenges
  • Communicate issues and delays to Management, General Contractor and project teams.
  • Assist and advise on crew composition and manpower requirements
  • Assist in the hiring and separation of field employees through interviews, performance reviews, and termination meetings.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships and develop a high level of trust and credibility with clients, alliance partners, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Lead, manage, and support division staff in day-to-day and strategic activities.
  • Provide supervision, training, development, and performance management of direct reports.
  • Work with the foreman, superintendent and PM to ensure Flynn follows a QA/QC Program.
  • Attend meetings with Estimating, PM, Coordinator, and Foreman to perform a Post-Mortem on the project

  • 7-10 years of experience in Commercial flat and sloped roofing
  • Previous experience in a supervisory/management role 
  • Strong communication, organization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS office package
  • Able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of safety compliance regulations and commitment to a safe work environment
  • The ability to lead and motivate groups and individuals
