Job description

Are you interested in becoming part of an innovative in-house maintenance facility working with private aircraft? Flexjet is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our Maintenance organization as a Engine Manager specializing in Rolls Royce power plants. This position is in Cleveland, Ohio. Flexjet offers industry leading compensation and benefits as well as room for growth.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate shop support maintenance and budget planning activities regarding Rolls Royce power plants
  • Provide advice in support of troubleshooting efforts and component replacement/repair
  • Select contract maintenance providers and ensure warranty work coverage processes
  • Ensures maintenance activities are following airworthiness requirements
  • Approve and sign Rolls Royce engine rental and bailment agreements
  • Monitor logbook disposition for shop maintenance activities (shipping, tracking, etc.)
  • Provide daily updates to the MOCC regarding both on-wing and off-wing maintenance activities on Rolls Royce power plants
  • Coordinate with QA and MOCC regarding Rolls Royce power-plant removals and installs
  • Validate power-plant airworthiness (through logbook review) and updating CAMP with current airworthiness compliance data for any Rolls Royce power plants being installed after repair
  • Monitoring regulatory sources for new Airworthiness Directives that might apply to the power plants and advising Quality Assurance regarding their applicability and impact
  • Recommend Service Bulletins and other modifications that may have a direct effect on safety, reliability, maintainability or operating cost through the TWG process
  • Build work orders and include supporting documents. Review the discrepancy history and include the work packages
  • Consistently improves the Dispatch Availability of their fleet
  • Support other Engine Managers on other OEM engine types as required
  • Support Fleet Technical Managers as required
  • Reports to the Flexjet Lead Fleet Technical Manager

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license required
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field and/or 5 years of experience in an aviation environment
  • 3+ years of experience working on Rolls Royce power plants
  • OEM factory training on one or more engine types
  • Must have working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
  • Has working relationship with other Flexjet departments

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs

  • Must be willing to work flexible schedules
