Rolling Mill Operator - $18 - Temp to Hire - Bonus Structure upon hire

Great job for a candidate with previous manufacturing or mill experience - ready to work hard, make your production quotas and get rewarded through the bonus pay structure.

Job Duties:

Assist rolling mill positions by keeping product moving at needed pace
Assist during maintenance days in all areas as directed
Mill water system upkeep
HMD system readiness
Log all mill sizing in Mill Sizing app with Macro
Cleaning furnace debris and mill scale

Responsibilities:

Use Ajax to size intermediate and finishing mills for set up
Keeping all stands (1-16) at designed size
Calibrating, cleaning, setting up including adjusting roll stands
Maintain expected production rates
Inspection of new stands after installation in mill to ensure proper set-up before rolling
Monitoring equipment operation (e.g., speed, pressure, temperature) to prevent jams and
defects
Other duties, but not limited to; Material loader, Furnace Operator, Lily Pad, Hot bed, Cold
shear, Scale, Bundling, Mill Adjuster, Wood/Wire, Stand Installation, Greasing/Oiling,
Sprocket/Chains (mill changeover), SteelMES, Axle sorting, Axle inventory, Fork Truck
operation, Overhead crane, Oxy/Gas Torch cutting, Material testing

Qualifications and Experience:

Mechanical Aptitude
Excellent writing skills
Previous Experience in manufacturing
