Job description

Benchmark Metals is looking to expand their operations.  We seek mill operators for 1st and 2nd shift.  

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and operates Cold Rolling Mill 

  • Completes all data entry transactions in computer for coil data and labeling. 

  • Reports problems that arise with machines, materials, jobs, or team members; and offers solutions where possible within the scope of the duties of the job

  • Prepares raw material for production with high quality and within tolerances

  • Provides complete, accurate documentation when required

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or related environment

  • Mechanical experience including: operation of high speed automatic and semi-automatic equipment

  • Set up and adjustment of metal forming processes (stamping, forming, shearing) preferred

  • Experience troubleshooting production equipment and ability to identify machine problems preferred

  • Experience measuring parts with precision instruments including: micrometers, digital calipers, load testers, etc.
