Job Summary:
The Reliability Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the overall design, reliability and performance of our aluminum rolling mill facility. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing maintenance and reliability strategies to optimize equipment efficiency, minimize downtime, and enhance the overall operational reliability of the facility.
• Design, develop and implement comprehensive maintenance and reliability programs to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of the aluminum rolling mill.
• Conduct regular equipment assessments and condition monitoring to identify potential failures and design and implement predictive maintenance measures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance, reduce downtime, and improve overall plant reliability.
• Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track reliability metrics, providing regular reports to management.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to establish effective preventive maintenance plans and schedules based on analyses of key failures.
• Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting equipment failures and design and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of spare parts and support for critical equipment.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, technological advancements, and emerging trends in reliability and maintenance.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience of reliability engineering principles, predictive maintenance techniques, and condition-based monitoring, preferably in metal processing, rolling mill or finishing manufacturing facilities.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• A willingness to work extra hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to aluminum rolling mill operations.
• Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
