Mancan Staffing is hiring an experienced Slitter Operator for a reputable manufacturing facility in Weirton, WV! This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented professional who takes pride in producing high-quality slit materials and working in a fast-paced production environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Set up and operate slitting machines according to work order specifications.
Organize workloads and lead the slitting crew to meet production goals.
Set up slitting heads, tension rolls, and overarms for each job.
Tape and label finished coils using computer-generated labels.
Measure and verify materials using micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
Record production results and comments in company systems.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
Prior slitting experience required or prior experience as a Slitter Helper
Ability to set up arbors and overarms.
Proficiency with fractions, decimals, micrometers, and digital calipers.
Ability to use a Rockwell tester to measure material hardness.
Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.
