What’s The Job?

The junior machine operator safely and efficiently assists with operation of our automated packaging machine.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Compensation: Starting pay is $23/hour, with a clear path to $24/hour within your first year as you grow in the role.

What You’ll Be Doing, Stop Scanning and Read This Part

  • This position assists the operator in working an automated machine on a food production line and produces food products within specifications as required on the daily schedule
  • Responsible for producing food products within the specified quality requirements
  • Follows and promotes Food Safety and practicing and enforcing all GMPs and appropriate food defense techniques
  • Monitors products as they are produced to ensure high quality and that product meets all specifications
  • Performs duties in a safe manner and comply with all regulations and company policies
  • Cleans and sanitizes the production area in the facility
  • Assistance with machine disassembly and reassembly
  • Informs supervisor and/or manager of any equipment malfunctions or other production issues as they arise
  • Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays upon occasion
  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ve Done And Who You Are

  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanically inclined
  • 6 months of previous automation or packaging experience
  • Experience in food manufacturing - preferred
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and operations preferred
  • Experience and desire to support a culture built on collaboration, sharing of ideas and celebration of successes as well as drive for positive outcomes with cross-functional teams.
