What is a role player?

Role players are individuals hired to act out specific scenarios or characters, often for training, assessment, or entertainment purposes. In professional settings, they help simulate real-life situations such as medical emergencies, customer service interactions, or military exercises. This allows trainees or participants to practice their skills in a realistic but controlled environment. Role players are essential in industries like healthcare, law enforcement, military, and corporate training, as they provide valuable feedback and create immersive experiences.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a role player, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Role Player, you need strong improvisational skills, a deep understanding of human behavior, and often experience or training in acting or simulation. Familiarity with scenario-based training tools, audio/visual recording equipment, and sometimes specific certifications like trauma-informed care are commonly required. Excellent communication, adaptability, and emotional intelligence help Role Players create realistic interactions and respond effectively to trainees. These skills and qualities are vital for delivering immersive, impactful training experiences that enhance learning and preparedness in various professional fields.

How does a role player typically collaborate with training facilitators and participants during simulation exercises?

Role Players work closely with training facilitators to create realistic scenarios that align with the learning objectives of the session. They interact directly with participants, adapting their responses based on the participants’ actions and feedback to ensure an immersive experience. Effective collaboration requires strong communication and flexibility, as Role Players often receive real-time direction and may need to adjust their performance to match evolving training needs. This teamwork helps ensure that the training is both engaging and educational for all involved.

This is not your typical front desk job! It's a role with the focus on community, driving operations, and delivering exceptional hospitality. As a Club Concierge, you will be the heartbeat of the club, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, building rapport with members, and helping elevate every guest interaction into a memorable experience.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about people, sports, and service. The Club Concierge plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional experience to members and guests by developing rapport with our members and players, managing reservations, facilitating check-ins, and maintaining the club's high service standards. This position is perfect for individuals with strong customer service skills, a passion for racket sports, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
Community & Member Engagement
  • Build genuine relationships with members and players, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects Padel Haus' community values.
  • Act as a connector by introducing players, encouraging match play, and driving participation in programs, leagues, events, and tournaments.
  • Promote upcoming programs, tournaments, social events, and club initiatives to create excitement and strengthen the Padel Haus community culture.
  • Support the development and execution of new community-building initiatives that enhance the member experience.
  • Partner with management to identify and implement opportunities that elevate club culture, member satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain 5-star rapport with all members and guests, whether in-person, by phone, or digitally, ensuring every interaction reflects warmth, professionalism, and care.

Operations & Service Excellence
  • Lead the daily flow of club operations, from check-ins, court management, and customer support to real-time problem-solving, to ensure a seamless and premium club experience.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures with full ownership and accountability, ensuring the club is guest-ready at all times and standards are consistently met.
  • Manage court reservations, private lessons, and event bookings with accuracy and efficiency through PlaybyPoint (Scheduler, POS, member notes, statements).
  • Answer and route incoming calls professionally, record accurate messages, and determine urgency when prioritizing follow-up.
  • Support retail operations including inventory tracking, merchandise presentation, and retail sales.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front desk and club environment, including towels replenished and monitored.
  • Handle member billing inquiries, courtesy calls, balance-due outreach, and administrative tasks with clarity and confidentiality.
  • Resolve issues or complaints promptly, showing empathy, sound judgment, and a member-first approach.
  • Maintain cooperative, positive working relationships with colleagues and coaches to support a collaborative culture.
  • Complete daily reports and special assignments as directed by management.

What You Bring
  • A genuine passion for hospitality, fitness, or sports, with a natural enthusiasm for connecting with people and building community.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; you make people feel welcomed, supported, and valued.
  • Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the confidence to take initiative and ownership.
  • Comfort using Apple products, POS platforms, and scheduling systems.
  • Interest in padel (or racket sports such as tennis, pickleball, or squash) and excitement to learn and grow with the sport.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and move around for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
