Job description

Reservoir International is hiring Tagalog, Pasto and Dari speaking Role Players local to the Ft. Bragg/Fayetteville, NC area.
General Purpose/Summary/Objective:
The Foreign Language Speaking (FLS) Role Player will perform translation, interpretation, and role playing work for military training exercises in order to facilitate realistic training in preparation for real-world situations in an operational environment.

Essential Functions:
  • Facilitate the creation of a cultural environment
  • Emulate the physical interaction between host nation populations
  • Provide the linguistic services necessary to the realism of the training scenario.
  • Provide realistic cultural/interpreter training experience
  • Speak fluently in primary language in accordance with specific scenario requirements
  • Translating scenario elements into target language
  • Act as linguist translating for exercise participants
Work Environment:
This job operates in the field environment with exposure to varied weather conditions and terrain.
Physical Demands:
  • Frequent sitting, standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Required to reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to move/lift ten pounds
  • Ability to perform in both rural and urban environments
  • Ability work in an environment with varied noise levels
  • See details of objects that are less than a few feet away
  • Understand the speech of another person
  • Speak clearly so listeners can understand
Travel:
No travel required.

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Willing to wear customer provided uniform/gear if applicable
  • Local to Fayetteville/Fort Bragg, NC area
  • Must by 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to read, write and understand target language and English
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to and from the training site
  • Ability to work as-needed, 3 days a month.
