Job description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is recruiting a Surveyor Rodman for our project in San Antonio, TX. You will be assisting  in surveying work to determine precise location and measurement of point of elevation, land area and contours for construction map making, land division and other purposes. A valid drivers license is required of all employees who will be operating a motorized vehicle to enter and drive on the clients facilities.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.

Skills / Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials
  • Provide checking of as-built conditions that require the use of surveying techniques
  • Prepares documentation of surveying activities
  • Maintain condition and adjustment of surveying equipment
  • Must have knowledge of and ability to use all surveying equipment and techniques
  • Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites
  • Follows all hazardous waste handling guidelines
  • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Two or more years documented field experience in craft
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures
