Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Kansas City, MO that is seeking a Rocket Administrator to join a high-performing team supporting critical enterprise systems. This individual will play a key role in maintaining, enhancing, and troubleshooting Rocket Software-based environments within a Linux and AWS ecosystem. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering long-term growth and the ability to make an immediate impact on system reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and support Rocket Enterprise Server and Rocket Enterprise Developer environments
* Administer and support Linux-based systems (RedHat and SUSE), including command line operations, patching, and software installation
* Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions
* Support and maintain applications within an AWS-hosted environment
* Develop and maintain system documentation, processes, and technical standards
* Provide on-call support and assist with P1 incident response, including off-hours as needed
* Partner with local Kansas City-based teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure system stability and performance
* Demonstrate ownership of systems with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
REQUIREMENTS:
Hands-on experience with:
* Rocket Enterprise Developer
* Rocket Enterprise Server
* Strong Linux administration experience (RedHat and/or SUSE)
* Command line proficiency
* Software installation and system maintenance
* Experience working in or supporting AWS environments
* Proven ability to work independently with strong leadership and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and communicate technical concepts clearly
Nice-to-Have:
* Experience with DB2 and/or Teradata integrations or interfaces
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
