Job description

About us:

Aeva’s mission is to bring the next wave of perception to a broad range of applications from automated driving to industrial robotics, consumer electronics, consumer health, security, and beyond. Aeva is transforming autonomy with its groundbreaking sensing and perception technology that integrates all key LiDAR components onto a silicon photonics chip in a compact module. Aeva 4D LiDAR sensors uniquely detect instant velocity in addition to 3D position, allowing autonomous devices like vehicles and robots to make more intelligent and safe decisions.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Program Manager with automotive experience, specializing in Lidar assembly and PCBA fabrication to join our dynamic team.

As an Operations Program Manager you will play a crucial role coordinating with Aeva cross-functional partners and contract manufacturers in ensuring the production lines for NPI and mass production meet product quality, delivery, cost and reliability of our Lidar product. You will manage detailed factory bring up schedules: identify critical path, track progress and identify and drive solutions to ensure program success. You will collaborate across operations teams to complete deliverables supporting Aeva’s product development and release process (PLC).

What you'll do:
  • Bring up Lidar assembly line from RFQ phase to mass production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain to define project scopes and objectives.
  • Define and manage manufacturing project schedule from NPI through mass production ramp.
  • Ensure resources requirements are defined and resources assigned to ensure project success.
  • Analyze CM bring up schedules to identify critical path, identify disconnects or gaps in execution, and drive closure plans to ensure execution to milestones.
  • Collaborate with product engineering, test engineering and technology partners in achieving deliverables required by operations.
  • Manage operations functional teams closure on Product Lifecycle (PLC) deliverables.
  • Function as key liaison to contract manufacturer.
  • Communicate program changes to contract manufacturers.
  • Prepare roadmap and capacity plans for product ramp and next-gen NPI.
What you have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Optical engineering, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with project scheduling tools such as MS Project or equivalent.
  • 5 years Automotive project management experience.
  • Experience with Engineering Change Orders and Product LifeCycle management.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing / technical operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Nice to have:
  • Prior experience with LiDAR systems
  • TeamCenter experience
What's in it for you:
  • Be part of a fast paced and dynamic team
  • Very competitive compensation and meaningful equity
  • Exceptional benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and more
  • Unlimited PTO: We care about results, not punching timecard
Salary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges are subject to change in the future. Depending on the position offered, equity, bonus, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, pre-tax commuter and health care/dependent care accounts, 401k plan, life and disability benefits, flexible time off, paid parental leave, and 11 paid holidays annually.
