Position Overview:

As a lead within the Technical Program Management (TPM) team, the Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) provides strategic oversight and is fully accountable for end-to-end execution of complex, multi-track programs. The Senior TPM must orchestrate work between cross-functional teams, including product management, multiple engineering disciplines, quality engineering, regulatory, supply chain, sales, service, and external partnerships including enterprise customers, and partner companies. The Senior TPM is a high-influence leader trusted to ensure successful development, integration, and deployment of our robotic and analytics products.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop, align, and execute our technical programs as an influential and self-directed leader
  • Define program goals, requirements, and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring team execution throughout the lifecycle
  • Utilize tact and expert-level communication to align diverse stakeholders and executive leadership within the company and across partner organizations
  • Maintain a calm and articulate presence under pressure while navigating conflicting constraints and providing strategic leadership guidance
  • Serve as the primary liaison for technical project leads across internal teams and partner organizations
  • Ensure clear, timely, and effective communication tailored to diverse audiences, including executive leadership
  • Provide high-level strategic management and detailed execution oversight as required
  • Leverage technical expertise and systems thinking to provide clarity, prioritization, and guidance across multidisciplinary engineering tracks
  • Develop and implement new processes to enhance program management practices across the organization
  • Actively mentor and coach junior TPMs, fostering collective growth and best practice adoption
  • Willingness to travel (10-25%), including potential international business travel
  • Other duties and projects as assigned 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field (EE, ME, CS, CE, etc.)
  • Master's degree in a technical field or business area (ex. MBA) is preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant post-graduate experience, as project or program manager
  • Professional experience with leadership responsibility in product development 
  • Professional experience with engineering processes & developing engineering solutions
  • Experience with system-level engineering or system integration
  • Experience developing and implementing new processes

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics

  • Adaptable, resilient, organized, self-directed, efficient, and able to manage multiple complex projects even when presented with an unstructured problem or ambiguity
  • Effective at juggling many simultaneous tasks and deadlines
  • Expert-level oral and written communication skills
  • Natural peer and team leadership skills 
  • Comfortable and effective speaking to executive audience
  • Calm and articulate under pressure
  • Ability to rapidly grasp and simplify complex technical concepts
  • Experience with Agile and Phase Gate program management methodologies.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace.

Things That Make a Difference:

  • Experience in robotics, AI/ML, or computer vision analytics domains
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kanban, etc.
  • Project Management Professional, Certified Scrum Master, or Certified Scrum Product Owner preferred
  • Master's degree in an applicable field

Salary Range:

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in San Diego, California is $133,565 to $161,684. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Brain Corp is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
