Job description

The YMCA of Central Texas is currently seeking a talented individual to join our team serving the community of Leander, TX as an Enrichment Instructor.
This position will work within our after school programs creating, implementing and leading the children in the YMCA after school through enrichment programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children as well as a passion for arts, cooking or science of all kinds. Our current enrichments include art, dance, STEAM, cooking, Spanish and robotics, but will expand as the needs within our communities do. This position requires the ability to teach basic skills as well as uphold the values and mission of the YMCA.
This position works up to 10 hours per week in the Enrichment capacity, and has the opportunity to work an additional 10 hours per week helping within the YMCA after school and camp programs as needed. An outstanding ability to build relationships with children, parents and community members is a must as well as the flexibility to help fill the ever changing needs of our youth development department.

Skills and Requirements:
  • Over 18 and possess a high school diploma, or equivalent
  • Have a willingness to learn new things
  • Previous experience working with kids
  • Able to pass a drug screen and background check
  • Able to provide own transportation and willing to travel to different school locations within Leander ISD

Pay Rate: $16.00 to $21.00/hour
