Job Purpose

Responsible for design, development, evaluation, analysis, selecting and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products and systems.  Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment/processes/systems.  Keeps current on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.  Studies equipment performance and reliability.  Provides advanced technical support to operations and other disciplines within engineering organization.  Identifies, develops and recommends processes needed to produce specific products and components. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This is an onsite position in Springfield, MO.

  • Manage approved engineering projects
  • Develop and implement PLC and Robot logic changes
  • Provide technical support to maintenance and operations
  • Develop and coordinate electrical control equipment build, installation and training
  • Strong PLC programming/troubleshooting (Allen Bradley & Modicon), Robot programming/troubleshooting (Adept & Fanuc), Electrical Code
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:  BS degree or equivalent experience in engineering. 

Language Skills:  College level written and verbal English skills

Mathematical Skills:  College level Geometry, Algebra, and Trigonometry

Reasoning Ability:  Strong Root cause and abstract problem solving, visualization and quality tools

Computer Skills:  Microsoft Office and project management software

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  Lean, Six Sigma or project management certification helpful

Other Skills and Abilities:  Planning, analytical, assertive, and interact with various groups
