Reports To: Engineering Manager

The Automation Engineer (Robotics) supports Triton manufacturing operations by designing, programming, implementing, and maintaining robotic and automated systems.

Robotics Programming & Integration

  • Program and troubleshoot industrial robots including FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, KUKA, and Universal Robots.
  • Develop robotic welding, material handling, machine tending, and palletizing applications.
  • Support robotic cell installations and commissioning.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and control systems.
  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics and controls documentation.

Automation Process Development

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual manufacturing processes.
  • Design and implement solutions that improve throughput, quality, and safety.

Production Support

  • Provide daily support for robotic and automated equipment.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Reduce scrap, labor costs, and downtime through automation.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

Project Management

  • Manage automation projects from concept through implementation.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and ANSI/RIA safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of industrial robotics experience.
  • FANUC and PLC programming experience preferred.Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
