Overview
The Senior Manager IT - Enterprise Applications is responsible for the management and support of a portfolio of applications and technology solutions at Fort Wayne Metals. The IT Enterprise Applications Manager has overall responsibility for the scoping, deployment, support, maintenance, and enhancement of software solutions. This role focuses on ERP and CRM applications, along with ancillary solutions supporting our manufacturing, quality, and engineering functions. Additionally, role is responsible for planning and overseeing technical development being executed by both internal and vendor-led teams - while working closing with business functions to deliver digital solutions. This role will play an integral part in the digital journey at Fort Wayne Metals.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • BS/BA in computer science, information technology management or equivalent, required.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience managing teams of software engineers/developers and/or business analysts.
  • Expertise in business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design and development, vendor management, enterprise application support (ERP/CRM), and a strong business understanding; management or supervisory role on an application delivery team.
  • Experience working in an ERP or CRM environment, Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus.

Job Responsibilities
  • Define and implement Enterprise Application strategy in alignment with the overall IT and Business strategy, including roadmap and release management, and related project portfolio planning.
  • Provide leadership and manage the activities of a team of Developers in deployment of Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and internally developed applications that includes new solutions and enhancement of existing systems.
  • Lead a team of Business Analysts and collaborate with business and key IT stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and schedule applications development and enhancement requests, while providing direction and guidance to the applications development staff.
  • Drive stakeholder satisfaction by delivering quality applications and support within approved staff levels and budget; accountable for availability and performance of applications portfolio, including ownership of incidents and release management.
  • Work with Project Managers to deliver solutions and communicate project status to all levels of management.
  • Partner with leaders of other business functions to ensure proposed solutions align with overall business strategy and objectives while meeting technical and security standards.
  • Foster and manage partnerships with third-party solution providers to ensure value attainment in those relationships.
  • Coach, motivate, and mentor team members, to foster an environment of collaboration and high performance.
