Job description

Robot / Automation Engineer
Job Description & Skill Requirement:
  • Experience programming ABB welding robots is required. Candidates must be able to create, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize ABB RAPID programs for robotic welding applications.
  • Experience troubleshooting robotic welding systems, weld schedules, torch calibration, touch sensing, seam tracking, and production support.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve robot, electrical, mechanical, and process-related issues in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience programming and supporting ABB robotic paint systems.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) PLCs, including Studio 5000/RSLogix, HMI, VFDs, servo motion, and industrial Ethernet networks.
  • Experience with industrial controls, I/O systems, safety circuits, and field devices.
  • Knowledge of robotic vision systems, seam tracking, and automation integration.
  • Experience commissioning new equipment and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Requirement:
Hands-on ABB welding robot programming experience is mandatory.
• Experience with ABB paint robots and Rockwell PLC/controls is highly desired and will be considered a strong advantage.
