This position is remote based in Boston, MA. Relocation to the Boston, MA area is required.

Position Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the Robotics and Material Handling Strategic Teams, helping expedite the sales cycle for more support intensive products, and developing strong relationships with both sellers and target customers.
This position reports to the Field Applications Engineering Manager.
What You'll Be Doing
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working both individually and collaboratively staying on top of tasks, and making a meaningful impact across teams and projects. Below are some key responsibilities of the role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Project Manager for opportunities involving complicated system solutions that mesh Banner platforms with industrial network systems
  • Lead the effort to promote best practices for complex solutions within the Banner sales team
  • Develop reference materials, white papers, and support videos to improve the customer experience and share internally
  • Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support for customers
  • Be a resource for the Robotics and Material Handling Account Teams at Integrators and target OEMs
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers and sellers
  • Attend sales calls as needed; you'll also provide selling materials (samples, product information, technical documents, etc.) and presentations for key account and new product opportunities
  • Define, coordinate, and prioritize customer feedback and ideas into engineering requirements for future enhancements, then work closely with the Robotics and Material Handling Sales Teams and engineering to implement those enhancements
  • Promote and train on new products to target customers
  • Develop methods and best practices for delivering outstanding service to our customers
  • Help expand our BOM at the customer
  • File on time, comprehensive trip reports into the SFDC account
  • Report back on competitive products/applications at customer sites

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and related field 3-5 years of related experience -OR-7+ years of experience in automated controls
  • 3+ years of technical sales experience in the industrial automation sector
  • Experience with sensors, measurement and condition monitoring solutions, remote I/O, lighting applications and/or PLC programming.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to follow-up and maintain strong, successful relationships
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and projects
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proven track-record for proposing and implementing new solutions
  • Experience using various networks, such as ethernet, IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time with overnight stays

  • Standard hours Monday through Friday; occasional overtime or travel may be required
  • Field position working on-site at customers, from your car, and from your home depending on the day.

  • Possible travel (up to 40% overnight) to meet customers and distributors, including both domestic and potential international travel.

Base Pay Range: $90,469.00 - $140,026.00
