Robot Technician

Robot Technician is a key part of our business. Reporting to Process Engineering, a Robot Tech is responsible for programming parts on robots and process improvements on polishing and robotic cells.. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment, this is the role for you.Successful candidates will have some prior experience or education in robotic programming

What You Will Do:

  • Program Yaskawa polishing robots
  • Develop Robotic process to polish parts
  • Participate in development of part holding, pick and drop pallets
  • Establish base line & maintain on-going measurements related to robot productivity.
  • Problem solve robotic issues and polishing issues
  • Experience with Robotic controls and HMI
  • Recommend, test and implement process changes.
  • Participate with Engineering in installation of new robotic processes.
  • Keep abreast of latest programming techniques and recommend new processes and technology.
  • Optimize robot program through requisite knowledge of abrasives, programming and analysis of part movement through process.
  • Communicate effectively with operators, team leaders and process engineers.
  • Observe and report on daily operations to include the review of daily production logs and records.
  • Experience with ladder logic and or Allen Bradly PLC a plus

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Associated Degree or Bachelor's degree
  • Training and or education with robotic programming
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role
  • In addition, you ideally bring an ability to establish priorities and follow up on tasks to be completed
  • Ability to apply problem solving techniques.
