Our company is seeking a passionate and motivated Business Intelligence & Data Automation Specialist is responsible for transforming enterprise data into actionable insights that support strategic, operational, and tactical decision-making. This person requires experience spanning both technologist and analyst functions. This role implements, designs, develops, and maintains enterprise reporting, dashboards, data models, and automated workflows using middleware, RPA, AI, PowerBI, PowerApps, Power Automation, Snowflake while ensuring data accuracy, governance, and usability. This role is part of Internal IT as a product tools owner and partners with business owners and stakeholders to support Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and IT service data across multiple platforms. This role is ideally an on-site position; however, a hybrid work arrangement may be considered for candidates who demonstrate the necessary qualifications and experience.
Job Duties:
  • Impalement, Integrate, design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to support executive, operational, and departmental reporting needs; translate business requirements into KPIs, scorecards, and self-service analytics; optimize performance and implement row-level security.
  • Develop and maintain Power Platform solutions by building Power Apps, PowerBI, Power Automation, and other tools to streamline business processes and workflows to support data ingestion, validation, approvals, notifications, and system integrations, following security and performance best practices.
  • Design, build, and maintain data models to support reporting and analytics; perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation; develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and documentation; support data governance standards, lineage, and stewardship.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions (Snowflake and relational databases) to extract, integration, transform, and analyze data; support ad-hoc reporting and advanced data analysis while ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Design and support API integrations to connect internal and external systems; monitor and troubleshoot data integration issues to ensure data reliability and accuracy.
  • Support and enhance CMDB and IT service data across platforms by ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with ITIL and organizational standards; develop reporting and dashboards for asset, configuration, dependency, compliance, and lifecycle visibility.
  • Act as a trusted analytics partner to business leaders by gathering requirements, presenting insights and recommendations, and providing training and documentation to enable effective report and dashboard consumption.
  • Promote continuous improvement by staying current with BI, AI, RPA, analytics, and Power Platform capabilities; recommend enhancements to reporting, data architecture, and analytics processes; support audit, compliance, and data quality initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Automation and API, including integration across multiple platforms, data modeling, and performance optimization.
  • Experience developing solutions with Power platforms.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with Snowflake and relational databases.
  • Strong understanding of data management, data quality, and governance principles.
  • Experience integrating data using APIs and working with multiple data sources and systems.
  • Familiarity with CMDB concepts and IT service management data across platforms.
  • Strong analytical and technical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused insights.

Preferred:
  • Experience with ITSM and CRM platforms such as ConnectWise platform.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure) and cloud-based data services.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data pipelines.
  • Understanding of ITIL frameworks and configuration or asset management.
  • Relevant Microsoft or Power Platform certifications.
  • Experience supporting executive-level reporting and strategic analytics initiatives.
