Job Overview
Redwood Credit Union is seeking an Automation Analyst II who will be responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of advanced enterprise automation solutions that leverage Robotic Process Automation (RPA), AI‑driven workflows, and Microsoft Copilot technologies. This role serves as a technical leader in automation initiatives, focusing heavily on integrating AI capabilities such as Copilot agents, intelligent document processing, decisioning, and natural‑language interfaces into business workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end lifecycle of automation initiatives, including process discovery, feasibility analysis, solution architecture, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Analyze complex business processes and independently evaluate and recommend AI‑first and automation‑first solutions, incorporating Microsoft Copilot agents, AI prompts, orchestration, RPA (UiPath preferred), workflow, and API‑based integrations.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert for intelligent automation, mentoring Automation Analyst I staff and providing direction on solution design reviews.
- Collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into strategic and scalable automation solutions that improve organizational operations.
- Develop detailed technical documentation, solution designs, workflows, and governance artifacts.
- Design and oversee implementation of AI‑enhanced automations, including Copilot agents, copiloted workflows, intelligent document processing and OCR, AI‑assisted decision logic, exception handling, natural‑language interaction layers, integration of Microsoft Copilot with existing RPA platforms, and ensure security, compliance, explainability, and auditability.
- Design, develop, and maintain UiPath automations and orchestrations at an enterprise scale; create reusable components, frameworks, and shared libraries; monitor performance, reliability, and throughput; lead testing, validation, and deployment strategies.
- Provide advanced technical support for automation and AI workflows, including production issue resolution, root‑cause analysis, maintain service logs, metrics, dashboards, and enforce security controls, user access, and encryption standards.
- Lead operations, monitoring, and support to ensure workflows execute accurately, securely, and on schedule; review and manage access controls; interact with third‑party vendors and consultants.
- Establish and enforce automation development standards, QA protocols, and AI governance guidelines; ensure compliance with security, data privacy, logging, and compliance requirements; participate in roadmap planning and influence long‑term strategy.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong hands‑on experience with UiPath (preferred), Microsoft Power Platform, and/or Copilot technologies; integrating automation with enterprise systems using APIs, files, and databases.
- Working knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python and PowerShell.
- Demonstrated ability to independently analyze and automate complex business processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in production environments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple high‑impact initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to automation quality.
- Ability to collaborate and mentor team members.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and guide decision‑making.
- Willingness to support off‑hours deployments or incidents when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building or integrating Microsoft Copilot agents.
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts within business automation.
- Experience with UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
Education and Experience
The ideal candidate has an education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, computer science, or a closely related field with a minimum of five years’ experience in RPA development, automation engineering, or software development.
Compensation
Base starting range: $100,604 to $132,552 annually commensurate with experience.
