Description
Northern Manufacturing, a worldwide leader in stainless steel fabrication, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Automation Team on 3rd shift.
3rd Shift Hours: 7:30pm to 6:00am, Monday-Thursday
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for setting up and programming and operating the robotic welders, 5-axis laser, and/or other automation equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and shop routes for necessary instructions
• Adjust fixtures when needed and add controls to ensure parts are fabricated according to instruction.
• Monitor the robots performance and troubleshoot when necessary.
• Perform visual inspections of pieces being processed to ensure quality parts are produced.
• Load and unload materials.
• Follow all safety protocol related to the position and use of each machine.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb ladders and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements
• High School Degree or equivalent
• Basic weld knowledge preferred
• Previous experience with Fanuc robots preferred but not required
• Experience utilizing computer-based software
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings, or ability to be trained in this area
• Basic math skills to calculate material fabrication
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
