Job description

Machine Operator
Elgin, Texas

Red River Brick, a leading brand of the General Shale network in the Southwest U.S., is hiring a Machine Operator (Dehacker) for our Elgin, Texas facility.

This role involves operating and monitoring the Dehacker, a highly automated machine with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and troubleshoot strapping heads, including changing heads as needed
  • Operate Dehacker control panels and perform product and size changeovers
  • Operate unloading equipment, grippers, unloading tracks, and robotic teach pendants
  • Handle routine troubleshooting and equipment faults
  • Complete production records and documentation
  • Monitor photo cells, proximity switches, pneumatic controls, and hydraulic controls
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with automated equipment preferred
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Safety-focused, dependable, and team-oriented
  • Physically capable of performing labor-intensive tasks
  • Day shift availability required
