We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Humanoid Robot Data Collection Operator to join our humanoid robotics team. This operator will be responsible for executing data collection activities that support the development of robot perception, manipulation, locomotion, and AI behaviors. The role involves operating humanoid robots, performing teleoperation tasks, capturing high-quality training datasets, and supporting validation efforts across hardware and software systems.
This is a critical role at the intersection of robotics operations and AI development, ideal for individuals passionate about working directly with cutting-edge humanoid robots and helping build the next generation of intelligent robotic systems.
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Operate humanoid robots during data collection activities, including locomotion, manipulation, teleoperation, and human-robot interaction scenarios.
โ€ข Execute data collection procedures according to established protocols to generate high-quality datasets for AI training and validation.
โ€ข Set up and maintain data collection environments, including test fixtures, sensors, cameras, props, and supporting equipment.
โ€ข Monitor robot performance during testing and identify, document, and report hardware, software, or operational issues.
โ€ข Collect, organize, and verify data from various robot subsystems, including vision systems, force sensors, joint encoders, IMUs, and audio systems.
โ€ข Support teleoperation and demonstration data collection activities for imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and autonomous behavior development.
โ€ข Perform robot startup, shutdown, charging, calibration, and basic maintenance activities.
โ€ข Collaborate closely with robotics, AI, software, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams to execute testing plans and troubleshoot issues.
โ€ข Maintain detailed records of test execution, data collection sessions, system observations, and equipment status.
โ€ข Follow safety procedures and operational guidelines when working around robotic systems.
Qualifications
โ€ข Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent practical experience in robotics, engineering technology, manufacturing, or related field.
โ€ข 1+ years of experience in robotics operations, manufacturing, testing, laboratory environments, or technical support roles.
โ€ข Comfortable working directly with electromechanical systems and robotic equipment.
โ€ข Strong attention to detail and ability to execute repetitive tasks consistently and accurately.
โ€ข Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
