Job description

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs machine repair and maintenance services both in the shop and at customer sites
  • Operates and maintains electric and/or air powered hand tools
  • Participates in testing and commissioning products
  • Performs pre-startup checks to ensure machines are ready for use
  • Meets and/or exceeds the Company's work quality standards using visual and mechanical inspection methods
  • Operates heavy equipment safety and effectively
  • Works safely by following established safety procedures and through awareness helps to ensure the safety of others near and around the work area
  • Changes and disposes of hazardous waste, such as oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid, parts cleaner and other relevant materials using health and safety protocols according to Company and government guidelines
  • Troubleshoots equipment and systems using hydraulic and/or electrical schematics
  • Completes repair tickets accurately and thoroughly, indicating work completed and any needed follow-up
  • Communicates services and repairs performed to the customer in a professional manner

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds without assistance

  • Must be able to work indoors or outdoors under a variety of temperatures and weather conditions
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Vocational Training or 2+ years of experience performing heavy machinery mechanical services (Volvo, Roadtec, Bornag Etnyre, brands preferred)
  • 2+ years of hydraulic, electrical and heavy construction equipment experience
  • Proficiency using heavy machinery diagnostics equipment
  • Must have own set of tools
  • Must pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening
  • Possessing or obtaining Class B CDL license within first 60 days of employment
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
