Job description

Route Driver - Appliance Installation Specialist – Direct Hire

Pay: $21/hour + overtime opportunities

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime/weekend work

We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Route Driver / Installation Specialist for a direct-hire opportunity. This is a hands-on position that spends a significant portion of the day driving a company vehicle to customer locations to deliver, install, service and pick up washers and dryers.

What You'll Do
  • Safely drive a company vehicle on an assigned daily route
  • Load equipment and prepare the truck for scheduled deliveries and pickups
  • Deliver, install and test washers and dryers at customer locations
  • Remove old equipment and return it to the warehouse
  • Perform minor repairs and troubleshoot basic equipment issues
  • Maintain accurate delivery, pickup and service documentation
  • Keep the vehicle stocked with necessary installation parts and supplies
  • Maintain and report on vehicle condition and inventory
  • Provide friendly, professional service to customers, property managers and maintenance teams
  • Follow company driving, DOT and safety requirements
What We're Looking For
  • Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
  • Comfortable driving for extended periods and in varying weather conditions
  • Willing and able to obtain/maintain required DOT certification
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools
  • Basic wiring knowledge and ability to read diagrams preferred
  • Dependable, organized and comfortable working independently
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Able to safely maneuver appliances and equipment using appropriate equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass required background check and drug screening
  • Gas-line installation certification is a plus
