POSITION SUMMARY

The Customer Sales Support (CSS) serves as a key partner to the Vice President of Sales, Area Sales Manager (ASM), and operations team, ensuring exceptional customer service, project execution, and account management throughout the customer lifecycle. This role bridges communication between customers, sales, and operations to deliver outstanding service, support project success, strengthen client relationships, and drive revenue growth. The CSS acts as a trusted resource for customers while helping TEC maintain its commitment to safety, quality, responsiveness, and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service & Account Management

  • Partner with the Vice President, Sales and Area Sales Manager to develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, concerns, service requests, and project-related communications.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer needs and coordinate resolutions with internal teams.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of customer expectations, project specifications, and TEC service offerings.
  • Educate customers on erosion control best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards where applicable.
  • Conduct regular customer follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Project Quality & Field Support

  • Perform routine site visits to evaluate project quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Collaborate with field operations teams to verify work completion, project accuracy, and billing documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency, profitability, and customer experience.
  • Assist in reviewing job costs, material usage, labor performance, and project margins.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to field personnel to support quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Travel to customer and project sites as needed, up to 25%.

Sales Support & Business Development

  • Support the ASM in retaining existing customers and expanding business relationships.
  • Assist with identifying new project opportunities and participating in customer meetings, presentations, and site visits.
  • Help prepare proposals, project documentation, and account-related information as needed.
  • Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to support sales growth strategies.
  • Participate in industry associations, training opportunities, and networking events to strengthen industry knowledge and TEC's market presence.

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor and maintain customer information, opportunities, and activities within Salesforce CRM.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of customer records, project updates, and account assignments.
  • Support CRM utilization, reporting, and adherence to company sales processes.
  • Assist with tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), customer satisfaction metrics, and account activity.
  • Partner with operations and leadership teams to improve service delivery and customer retention.

Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in ongoing company training and professional development opportunities.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, erosion control practices, construction methods, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and customer-focused service.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Sales, or a related field preferred.

· 2 to 5 years of experience in construction, site development, erosion control, landscaping, account management, customer service, or related industries preferred.

· Experience working directly with customers in a service-oriented environment.

· Previous field operations, team leadership, or project coordination experience preferred.

· Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

· Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).

· Ability to interpret project information, contracts, and customer requirements.

· Basic financial and analytical skills including job cost and margin awareness.

· Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
