Job description

Construction Laborer – Road Construction

We are a road construction company seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Construction Laborers. No prior construction experience is required — candidates who demonstrate initiative and a strong work ethic will have the opportunity to learn specialized roles and advance within the company. We prefer to promote from within, and this position is a direct path to long-term career growth. Laborers at our company may work across multiple departments, including asphalt paving, sitework, and pipe and utility installation, giving entry-level candidates broad exposure to the road construction trade.

Responsibilities

  • Assist asphalt crews with paving operations, including raking, shoveling, and finishing tasks
  • Support sitework crews with grading, excavation, and site preparation activities
  • Assist pipe and utility crews with underground installation of storm, sewer, and water lines
  • Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment as directed
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites
  • Follow directions from foremen and crew leads efficiently and safely
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards

Qualifications

  • No prior experience required; any construction or utility background is a plus
  • Interest in learning asphalt paving, sitework, or underground utility installation encouraged
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
