Hello, RNs! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Private Duty School Nurse (PDN) to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support to a student with medical needs in Aurora, CO. In this role, you'll provide individualized medical care throughout the school day, helping a student safely access their education while supporting their health, safety, and overall well-being.
This is an excellent fit for nurses interested in pediatrics, school-based care, or building meaningful relationships through consistent, student-centered support. You'll work closely with school teams, families, and medical providers to ensure student success.

What You'll Do
  • Provide 1:1 nursing support for a student with medical needs throughout the school day
  • Monitor and manage chronic medical conditions and student health needs
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and care plans
  • Respond to health concerns and emergencies while following school safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate health documentation and ensure compliance with medical plans
  • Collaborate closely with families, school staff, related service providers, and medical teams
  • Support student participation, safety, and access within the educational environment
  • Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as appropriate

What We're Looking For
  • Active Colorado State RN license
  • School Nursing CDE endorsement (or willingness to obtain) preferred
  • Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check
  • Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, medically fragile populations, or public health preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and compassion
