About the Role
Hello, RNs! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with medical needs in a school setting in Longmont, CO.
This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically strong, dependable nurse who enjoys working directly with students and collaborating closely with school staff and families. You'll provide individualized care, monitor the student's health needs throughout the school day, and help ensure they can safely and successfully participate in their educational environment.

What You'll Do
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support to a student with medical needs
  • Monitor the student's health and respond to changes in condition
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and care plans
  • Follow individualized health and emergency protocols
  • Assist with activities of daily living and other medically necessary supports as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate documentation and health records
  • Communicate effectively with families, school staff, and healthcare providers
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and special education teams
  • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies
  • Support the student's safe participation throughout the school day

What We're Looking For
  • Active Colorado RN license
  • School Nursing CDE or ability to obtain
  • Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills
  • Reliable and dependable attendance
  • Ability to provide consistent 1:1 care in a school environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with G-tubes, oxygen management, oral suctioning, and other complex medical needs required
  • Pediatric or school-based nursing background preferred
  • Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check
