What does an RN assistant do?

An RN Assistant typically supports registered nurses by assisting with patient care tasks such as monitoring vital signs, helping patients with daily activities, preparing rooms and equipment, and documenting patient information. They often serve as a key communication link between patients, families, and the nursing team. The role may also involve transporting patients, restocking supplies, and ensuring infection control standards are met.
