Inventory Coordinator (Manufacturing)

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for an Inventory Coordinator to be based out of Harvey, Illinois. Reporting to the Sr. Inventory Control Manager, this person will be responsible for supporting the accuracy of inventory levels, completion of replenishment, and allocation of manufactured and purchased materials for customer demand.  

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 0-3 years’ experience in inventory control. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is desired.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage data review and transactions into WMS as material is received, cycle counted and shipped.
  • Track and expedite lost or missing parts for internal & external customers.
  • Administer the cycle count program, including creating audit sheets, updating stock locator system, investigating variances and tracking bin accuracy.
  • Ensure accuracy of all transactions including back orders through examining P.O.’s and investigating all aspects of the order to discover all discrepancies, missing or excess items, or any other issues that arise through a robust cycle count cadence.
  • Support specialty inventory transactions including the RMA process, loose and lost materials, and internal fulfillment ship errors.
  • Be actively involved with the operations floor supporting an organized inventory system, highlighting, and mitigating process fails that would diminish its accuracy.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for completion of secondary outsourcing processes.
  • Draft routing reports and intra-department communications and calculate figures across variable units of measure.

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum of 0-3 years’ experience in inventory control.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze information and create reports, adding value to the business.
  • Experience with WMS, JDE and RF Smart highly desired.
  • Experience with lean and six sigma processes and/ or Lean/Six Sigma certification desired.

Within 3 months, you’ll:

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $37,920 - $52,140. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.  Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
