Job description

JOB TITLE: Table Games Generalist

DEPARTMENT: Table Games

REPORTS TO: Table Games Manager

SALARY: Grade 5

Range Start: $18.05/hourly

Range End: $27.07/hourly

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

SUPERVISES: Table Games Dealers in the absence of Table Games Supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY: This team member provides an entertaining, fun atmosphere for guests while dealing Table Games according to the rules of the particular game being played, and in accordance with Resort & Casino policies

and procedures. This team member supervises assigned table games operations during an assigned shift.

THIS POSITION IS CLASSIFIED AS A REDDING RANCHERIA TRIBAL KEY EMPLOYEE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, are not all inclusive:

  1. Deals Table Games to guests according to the rules of the game being played.
  2. Conducts the games in accordance with the Resort & Casinoโ€™s policies and procedures, handling player transactions and notifying supervisors of any irregularities to ensure protection and integrity of the game.
  3. Maintains a professional, friendly, and courteous atmosphere providing the guest with a pleasant gaming and entertainment experience.
  4. Maintains an orderly table, as well as an appropriate game speed in a courteous manner.
  5. Remains knowledgeable of River Club benefits, Resort & Casino amenities, and marketing programs.
  6. Remains knowledgeable of all Table Games Department policies and standard operating procedures.
  7. Directs the work of Table Games Department team members and assigned table games operations during an assigned shift.
  8. Responsible for addressing guest complaints and disputes, and resolving problems.
  9. Enforces departmental policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  10. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizationโ€™s policies and procedures.
  11. Responsible for maintaining control of cards.
  12. Responsible for all operations within an assigned table games area during a shift.
  13. Responsible for the integrity of the games.
  14. Responsible for all money/chip transfers during assigned shift.
  15. Ensures all Table Game Dealers are following applicable dealing procedures and guest service standards.
  16. Ensures Resort & Casino standards of guest service are being adhered to.
  17. Coordinates activity with other with other Table Games Supervisors and applicable departments, such as Security and Cage.
  18. Maintains daily logs.
  19. Carries out the day-to-day training of Table Games Dealers, as need.
  20. Performs all duties in a manner that continually supports the vision, mission, values, and principles of the Resort & Casino.
  21. Performs all duties in a manner that adheres to the guest service standards established by Win-River Resort & Casinoโ€™s guest service program.
  22. Other duties as assigned by the Table Games Manager.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • A High School diploma, or the equivalent thereof, is required.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

The experience and knowledge requirements outlined here are representative of the minimum that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, higher levels of experience and knowledge than required may be reflected during the recruitment process:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older. Redding Rancheria tribal members must be 18 years of age or older.
  • The ability to use independent judgment to make discretionary decisions regarding Resort & Casino operations is required.
  • A strong understanding of the principles and practices of team member supervision is required.
  • A strong combination of written and verbal communication skills to write, read, and comprehend written correspondence is required.
  • The ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members of the Resort & Casino is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in table games procedures, games, and dealing time on live tables is preferred.
  • Excellent math skills are preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Continuously stands, and walks.
  • Occasionally sits, bends/stoops, climbs, reaches below shoulder level, and squats.
  • Occasionally lifts/carries up to twenty five (25) pounds is required.
