Cotti Foods began in 1967 with one Taco Bell restaurant in Southern California. Today, we proudly operate over 200 Taco Bell and Wendy’s locations across six states. We are committed to creating a collaborative and growth-oriented environment that supports our teams and the communities we serve. 

This position is based out of our corporate office in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA and requires 100% onsite attendance.

Job Summary

The Risk Management Coordinator will assist the Risk Manager to oversee the risk program. The coordinator will help ensure the company follows applicable State Department of Insurance regulations and OSHA laws and regulations for workers’ compensation, general liability and auto claims. 

The Risk Management Coordinator will also be responsible for managing the reporting and data collection for safety policies, such as Heat and Illness Prevention, Workplace Violence and Injuries. 

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and monitors workers’ compensation, general liability, and auto claims to closure
  • Communicate with operations, employees, clinics, triage services and carriers
  • Identify, track, and reviews trends through Smartsheet
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standards, processes, programs, and best practices related to risk management
  • Identify potential risk exposures, recommend solutions, implement approved programs, and monitors compliance
  • Facilitates the interactive processes in compliance with State and Federal regulations 
  • Monitors and maintain company Safety Binder Program
  • Pull and save video evidence from store cameras
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal, Finance, Public Administration, Risk Management or related field 

OR

  • Four (4) or more years of increasing responsibility in risk management department.
  • Background in worker’s compensation or insurance
  • Bilingual preferred
Physical Requirements: 
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to travel if necessary 
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
