Job description

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is seeking a Structural Designer with up to 4 years of experience to join our Orlando, Florida office. Experience in wireless/telecommunications structures is a plus but not required. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain experience designing a wide variety of structures while working alongside experienced structural engineers.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, analyze, and detail structural systems using steel, masonry, concrete, and wood
  • Develop construction documents and models using AutoCAD, RISA-3D and related tools
  • Provide support in preparation of proposals, reports, and design concepts
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects across Florida
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • Up to 4 years of structural engineering or design experience (wireless/telecommunications experience a plus)
  • E.I.T. certification or ability to obtain
  • Knowledge of structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, and wood structures
  • Experience or coursework with the RISA Suite (RISA-3D, RISA Foundation, RISA Connection)
  • Experience with AutoCAD; familiarity with tnxTower, Enercalc, L-Pile, and Excel is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple assignments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident; visa sponsorship is not available
