Structural Engineer โ€“ Telecommunications & Infrastructure Projects

Location: Towson, MD
Employment Type: Full-time | Onsite

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a strong background in wireless and telecommunications design to join a growing engineering team based in Towson, Maryland. This role offers the opportunity to lead diverse and technically challenging structural projects โ€” from advanced telecom towers to bridges, retaining walls, and custom-designed structures that shape modern infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and oversee structural systems for wireless and non-wireless projects, including monopoles, guyed/self-supporting towers, building mounts, water tanks, and unique specialty structures.

  • Manage projects end-to-end โ€” from initial proposal and scope definition to design, documentation, and construction oversight.

  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and client coordination to ensure successful execution and performance in the field.

  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, review calculations and design drawings for accuracy and compliance.

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time and exceed expectations.

  • Apply innovative thinking and sound engineering judgment to deliver efficient, reliable designs.


Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masterโ€™s preferred).

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

  • 8+ years of structural engineering experience, with a focus on telecommunications, wireless facilities, or infrastructure design.

  • Proficiency with RISA Suite (RISA-3D, RISA Foundation, RISA Connection) and familiarity with tnxTower, Enercalc, L-Pile, AutoCAD, and Excel.

  • Strong technical leadership, client communication, and project management abilities.

  • A proactive mindset and interest in business development or client engagement are a plus.
