Job Description Job Title: Structural Engineer Location: Houston, TX / New Orleans, LA / Columbus, OH Job Description: We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join a leading engineering consulting firm. The ideal candidate will be involved in all phases of the design process, from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring the safe and efficient layout of structures and equipment. Responsibilities: Develop criteria, computations/analyses, specifications, drawings/sketches, cost estimates, and technical reports for structural layouts in industrial and bulk material handling facilities.

Perform structural calculations, including sizing land-based and marine support structures. Model and analyze structures using STAAD or RISA (proficiency required). Design and evaluate structural components such as foundations, beams, columns, trusses, and retaining walls.

Select and apply engineering techniques and principles to evaluate and optimize structural systems. Conduct load and stress analyses to ensure the structural integrity of designs under various conditions. Collaborate with mechanical and civil engineering teams to integrate structural requirements into overall project designs.

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards in design and construction. Provide technical support and resolve engineering challenges during the fabrication and construction phases. Perform site visits and inspections as required to evaluate project progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.

Participate in design reviews and offer recommendations to enhance project outcomes. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing findings and design strategies. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.

2-5 years of experience in structural design and analysis. Expertise in industrial systems, material handling support structures, and marine supports. Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD or RISA (mandatory).

Familiarity with applicable codes, regulations, and construction practices. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Key Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
