Job Description

The RightAngle Consultant will partner with business and technical teams to configure, support, and enhance the ION RightAngle platform. This individual will play a key role in gathering business requirements, implementing system improvements, troubleshooting issues, and supporting trading operations across front-, middle-, and back-office functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain the ION RightAngle platform to support energy trading operations.
  • Collaborate with trading, scheduling, accounting, and risk teams to understand business requirements and deliver effective system solutions.
  • Participate in solution design sessions and recommend best practices for system enhancements.
  • Configure modules related to deal capture, pricing, inventory, logistics, settlements, and scheduling.
  • Support system testing, including creating test plans, validating functionality, and resolving defects.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot application issues while partnering with technical teams on resolution efforts.
  • Assist with integrations between RightAngle and enterprise applications such as ERP and scheduling systems.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and reporting to ensure system accuracy.
  • Create technical documentation and provide end-user support and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience working with the ION RightAngle platform in an oil and gas environment.
  • Strong understanding of physical and financial commodity trading processes.
  • Hands-on experience configuring RightAngle modules and workflows.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or enhancement projects.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional solutions.
