Job description

Traders Village Houston is seeking Weekend Rides Cashiers to support operations within our ticket booth and rides cashier areas. This role is responsible for handling transactions, assisting guests, and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience in a fast-paced environment.Position Details
  • Schedule: Weekends only (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Location: 7979 N. Eldridge Pkwy, Houston, TX 77041
  • Position Type: In-person
  • Reports To: Operations Manager / Rides Supervisor

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old/Older
  • Must have a valid driver's license (not needed)
  • Previous cash handling or cashier experience is preferred
Position Overview
As a Rides Cashier, you will be responsible for operating within the rides ticket booth and cashier areas, assisting guests with purchases, and maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.
You will work closely with the Rides Operations team and must communicate effectively to ensure smooth daily operations.Key Responsibilities
  • Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately
  • Sell ride tickets and assist guests with purchases
  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the cashier and ticket booth areas
  • Communicate with Rides Operations staff to ensure efficient workflow
  • Assist with resolving basic customer concerns or questions
  • Follow all cash handling procedures and company policies
  • Operate a golf cart safely when required (once trained)
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in cash handling, retail, or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
  • Dependable and able to work weekends consistently
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 15- 20 pounds
  • Ability to walk throughout the workday as needed
  • Ability to operate a cash register and golf cart (once trained)
