Job Description:
Rides Mass Transit District is seeking applicants for a Human Resource Assistant. Under the direction of the Human Resource Manager, this position will primarily be responsible for recruitment, general HR duties and special projects within the human resource department.
$500.00 New Hire Incentive after successful completion of a minimum Six-month training period
Paid Benefits, including Vacation, Holiday, Sick and Personal Time, Insurance Benefits, IMRF Retirement Plan, and access to 457b Retirement Account
To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Qualifications equivalent to possession of a Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or human resources preferred.
  • (2) years human resource experience, preferably in a small to medium sized company environment.
  • Understanding of federal/state laws and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced computer literacy with specific proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Microsoft 365/Teams
  • Ability to set priorities
  • Attention to detail
  • Handling multiple work assignments
  • Ability to work in a team setting
