KEY OBJECTIVE(S):
The main purpose of the Ride Tech Team Lead is:
  • To act in a support role to Maintenance supervisor, assign daily work to Ride Technicians and Associates. Provide support to other departments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support all company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all rides and facilities are ready in a safe operation before openings times.
  • Assign tasks as needed to facilitate safe and timely operation of all areas in company.
  • Utilize the work order system as required in performing daily duties and assigning work assignments.
  • Ensure that all departments are provided support within the scope of the resources of the maintenance department.
  • First line supervisory, responsible for safety, quality, quantity, efficiency and effectiveness of work output
  • Ensure the overall safety of the immediate work areas as well as surrounding areas.
  • Always provide outstanding internal and external guest service.
  • Solid understanding of amusement ride maintenance protocols and operation.
  • Documentation of schedules, reports and personnel performance
  • Serve as contact for other department, appraise nature of problems and ensure that it is resolved in satisfactory matter.
  • Maintain the treatment systems, operate the filtering and chemical treatment process to ensure that proper chemical levels are in accordance with the Langlier Saturation Index and applicable local regulations.
  • Perform the required checks on flow meters, filter beds, tanks, and all other system pumps and motors to ensure that all equipment is operating within prescribed limits and Government Standards.
  • Clean pump strainers, perform backwashes on all water systems, degrease and pressure spray filters, and remove blockages on pump packing drains as required.
  • Monitor inventory of pool chemicals or supplies, and ensure that supplies, materials and products are ordered and received.
  • Set up and organize ride rehabs and all maintenance related projects to ensure a timely completion.
  • Complete additional duties as needed

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possess an electrical and/or mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and maintain all rides and attractions within the scope of normal park operations.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in an industrial, mechanical or electrical field.
  • Minimum one-year leadership experience in related field.
  • Two-year technical degree in a mechanical/electrical field.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Practiced experience in one or more of the following; mechanical, electrical. Hydraulics, pneumatics or welding as applied to large machinery and amusements rides and facilities
  • Working knowledge of Windows programs including but not limited to Excel and Word.
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication required.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Perform repetitive motion- frequently- 50% of time
  • Stand and move- frequently - 80 % of time
  • Reach at, above or below shoulder level-frequently 50% of time.
  • Kneel and bend- infrequently 15% of time
  • Stoop/squat- infrequently 15% of time
  • Lift/carry between 10-76 lbs frequently 50% of time
  • Able to work at heights between 10-35 ft infrequently 20 % of the time.
