JOB SUMMARY

As the Marketing & PR Specialist at RIDE, you will play a key role in developing and executing integrated marketing, communications, and public relations initiatives that elevate brand awareness, support business growth, and strengthen RIDE's position as a leader in battery-electric transportation. This role will be responsible for creating compelling content, managing media and public relations activities, supporting digital marketing campaigns, coordinating brand messaging across channels, and assisting with strategic communications efforts.

The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented communicator with strong writing and storytelling abilities, experience in B2B marketing and public relations, and a passion for sustainability and clean transportation. This individual should be comfortable managing multiple projects while collaborating across departments to ensure consistent and impactful brand communications.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing & Communications Strategy: Support the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications strategies that align with RIDE's business objectives, brand positioning, and growth initiatives.
  • Content Creation & Storytelling: Develop engaging content for press releases, newsletters, website updates, email campaigns, brochures, presentations, customer success stories, and other marketing collateral to communicate RIDE's mission, products, and industry leadership.
  • Public Relations & Media Outreach: Assist in managing media relations activities, including drafting press materials, coordinating interviews and factory tours, monitoring media coverage, and supporting proactive outreach to industry publications, journalists, and partners.
  • Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and manage social media content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube to increase engagement, brand visibility, and audience growth. Monitor analytics and recommend improvements based on performance metrics.
  • Brand Management: Ensure consistency in brand identity, messaging, and visual standards across all internal and external communications materials. Support efforts to strengthen RIDE's brand presence within the clean transportation industry.
  • Digital Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team on digital marketing initiatives, including email marketing campaigns, website content management, SEO optimization, paid advertising, and lead generation activities.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with internal teams including sales, engineering, executive leadership, and government relations to develop accurate and impactful messaging that supports company priorities and customer engagement.
  • Event & Trade Show Support: Assist with the promotion and communications strategy for trade shows, conferences, customer events, and product launches, including pre-event marketing, on-site media coordination, and post-event content development.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze marketing and PR performance metrics, including campaign effectiveness, media coverage, website traffic, social engagement, and audience growth. Provide recommendations and insights for continuous improvement.
  • Industry Awareness & Thought Leadership: Stay informed on industry trends, sustainability initiatives, government incentive programs, and emerging technologies in the electric vehicle and clean transportation sectors to support strategic messaging and thought leadership opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably in the automotive, technology, or sustainability sectors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong storytelling and content development abilities.
  • Experience managing social media platforms, digital marketing campaigns, and brand communications.
  • Familiarity with media relations, press release writing, and public relations best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and marketing tools such as Mailchimp or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with design and content creation software (Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, CapCut, Premiere, etc.).
  • Knowledge of website management platforms and basic SEO principles is preferred.
  • Passion for sustainability and electric transportation, with a genuine interest in contributing to the clean energy movement..

Physical Requirements:
This role requires some physical activity related to event execution, including:

  • Travel: Frequent travel to event sites, including trade shows, conferences, and other on-site events, often requiring overnight stays (up to 50%).
  • Lifting: Occasional lifting and carrying of event materials, promotional materials, or equipment which will include prepping and shipping packages (up to 50 pounds).
  • Standing & Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events and trade shows, ensuring a presence on the ground during key activities.
  • Setup & Breakdown: Assistance with the physical setup and breakdown of booths, displays, and event areas.
