About the Role

The Clean Rice Supervisor is responsible for overseeing multiple shifts within the Clean Rice operation. This role manages all operational requirements with an emphasis on safety, quality, productivity, cost, and compliance with company policies. The Clean Rice Supervisor also coordinates with internal managers, external customers, suppliers, and vendors to ensure rice inventory requirements are met to fulfill customer orders. A strong focus on sanitation and fumigation is required.


What You'll Do

  • Supervise hourly employees across multiple shifts, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are met
  • Communicate with plant personnel, managers, vendors, and truck brokers regarding inventory and scheduling
  • Track daily inventories and coordinate with processing to determine bin usage and rice varieties for production
  • Oversee sanitation and fumigation programs for rice storage and handling areas
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and recommend solutions to maintain efficient workflow
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
  • Respond to emergency callouts and ensure operational continuity


What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma required
  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in manufacturing or a related environment
  • At least 1 year direct supervisory experience of hourly employees
  • Licensed in pest control and fumigation applications (required)
  • SAP shipping and receiving experience preferred
  • Grain handling experience preferred
  • Technical knowledge of grain handling operations and equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot processes and equipment under supervision
  • Strong problem-solving, team-building, and leadership skills
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend written and spoken English
  • Basic math skills, including ratios and statistics
  • Proficiency with company software applications and automated systems


Working Conditions

  • Care and use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Physical strength and ability to lift objects over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk/stand up to 90% of the workday and climb ladders over 20 feet
  • Ability to work in non-air-conditioned processing areas with moderate to loud noise levels
