Description

Purpose: To provide comprehensive quantity, product and pricing information on pending projects / installations for use by the team in developing accurate bid responses and customer quotes

Essential Key Functions and Accountabilities: (Responsibilities and major tasks performed)

Detailed review of all bid documents, architectural drawings, and specifications to identify project scope and requirements

Document and communicate above findings to project team as part of Go / No Go discussion

Compile, issue, track and communicate all Bid questions and responses between GC, A&D firm, and team

Complete all material take offs, calculations, pricing and specifications within RFMS

Engage vendors, reps, and subcontractors to negotiate competitive pricing and lead times

Prepare pricing summary for each project and present to team, management or customer as required

Manage all bid response objectives, schedules, and deadlines

Assist with compiling, sending, and tracking project submittals

Maintain working knowledge of all commercial flooring products and vendors

Develop / maintain strong relationships with Product Representatives, Installation Subcontractors and General Contractors

Knowledgeable of commercial flooring / tile installation methods and site prep requirements

Review all final specifications / quotes for accuracy and completeness to include all supplemental sundry items needed for proper installation

Track / analyze industry, vendor, and project pricing trends (to include product and installation), to help steer project strategy responses


Requirements

Experience and Education Required:

Minimum of 2-5 years of flooring estimating experience

Proficient in RFMS Core & Measure

Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

High School Diploma required

Required Skills and Qualifications:
