Tech Mahindra Network Services has an opening for an RF PLANNING AND DESIGN Engineer at Plano, TX. He will be responsible to design 4G, 5G networks using design tools such as Atoll etc. The incumbent will be required to manage or perform all activities related to the planning & design of 4G, 5G networks with emphasis on new macros, new small cell, and new in-building systems

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Performs RF/Wireless engineering assignments that typically involve the design, development, architecture evaluation and selection, modification and analysis techniques resulting in optimum system design solutions for the end customer.
  • Perform RF network design and planning activities using Atoll or any other industry standard planning tool for outdoor
  • Implement 4G,5G design, sponsor best practices, assess and expand system issues to RAN, Core, Data design teams
  • Perform link budget analysis, design criteria, coverage & traffic/capacity analysis
  • Ensure data integrity of various morphology/topography databases and drive test data for model calibration
  • Analyze and recommend equipment and antenna co-location requirements for different technologies
  • Perform site build verification and acceptance
  • Undertake design initiatives to meet network performance improvement (KPIs) and optimization tasks
  • Site configuration analysis
  • Exclusion / Exception area recommendation and verification
  • Identify, resolve coverage, capacity and RF design deficiencies
  • Experience in vRAN deployment is plus
Job RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Requires a BE degree or equivalent in Electronics, Computer Science Engineering or a closely related field and five plus years of experience as RF Engineer
  • Requires an in-depth understanding of the details surrounding Radio Frequency (RF) network design, coverage & capacity planning of mobile wireless networks
  • The RF network design skills and knowledge required for the position will include the ability to develop theoretical RF designs utilizing all aspects of propagation prediction software.
  • Solid knowledge of propagation tools (such as Planet, Asset, Atoll, IBwave etc.) is required
  • Project management and report writing abilities would be beneficial.
  • Extensive experience in Field test strategies, planning and execution for green field networks
  • Solid experience in link budget planning and propagation models
  • Should be independently handle and resolve technical barrier during design and deployment of 4G, 5G network
