Job description

Currently, we are seeking a Machine Build Lead to become a part of the HIROTEC team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with department employees on any build issues.
  • Reads and analyzes assembly blueprints and specifications manuals, and plans machine building operations.
  • Verifies conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints.
  • Lays out hole locations, drills and taps holes on parts for assembly.
  • Aligns components for assembly. Bolts, screws, dowels, welds, or rivets parts together.
  • Removes high spots, and smooths surfaces.
  • Verifies alignment and tolerances of moving parts.
  • Tests operation of assembly by hand.
  • Assembles, sets up, and operates machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer's specifications.
  • Provide cost to complete estimates bi-weekly.
  • Update resource charts daily.
  • Log rework at the time of the rework.
  • Build small sub-assemblies and mounting to bases.
  • Welding small parts for the sub-assemblies.
  • Identifying parts on prints for build purposes.
  • De-burring, stamping, and painting of sub-assemblies.
  • Building guarding around projects.
  • Machining (drilling, tapping, lathe work, bridgeport, etc.

We are seeking an individual with great communication and multi-tasking skills to join our team! The individual must be able to work with and coordinate with other tradesmen and be flexible to adjust schedules to accommodate our project needs. The individual must have reliable transportation and be able to travel if needed. The Machine Builder Lead will be responsible for all job phases from beginning to end. The individual will build small automotive sub-assemblies in addition to fitting and assembling components to construct, rebuild, and repair machinery by performing the following duties.
