Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Under the direction of a Tooling Supervisor, the Tool and Die Maker is responsible for repairing dies and making adjustments as needed to run dies in accordance with the customers' standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Tool and Die Maker must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting

  • Perform die set operations

  • Perform preventative maintenance on metal stamping dies

  • Perform quality checks

  • Perform other duties as required

  • Tool and Die Maker must complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a sheet metal stamping facility or similar experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience with large transfer and progressive dies

  • Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework

  • Standing 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc.

  • Be able to work 2nd shift

Preferred:

  • Journeyman Tool and Die Card from the Department of Labor

Rate of Pay: $37.54 - $39.14 per hour
