Job description

SSC Engineering, a nationally recognized, locally-owned consulting engineering firm has a great opportunity in our Chesterfield, MO office for a full-time Structural Drafter and or Designer in the design and construction of a variety of structures ranging from medical, commercial, retail and institutional buildings.
Minimum Qualifications Include:

· Associate's Degree in Computer Aided Drafting, Revit experience a plus.

· Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible.

· Proven drafting capability in retail, commercial, senior, healthcare and related markets.

· Knowledge of building systems. Consideration given for those with structural experience.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Experience in the use of AutoCAD and Revit modeling tools

· Ability to meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining quality design

· Professional approach to work as well as outgoing personality

· Excellent communications skills, self-started and desire to grow within the business


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Responsible for the preparation of detailed prints from engineer's design

· Assist in the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications) for new buildings, and for renovations and additions to existing facilities

· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results in a timely fashion

· Create, read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer generated reports

· Provide coordination of project designs with other disciplines.

· Inform production manager of any observed inaccuracies in projects, project scopes, project schedules

· Client interface

· Some field observation work
