Job Summary
We are seeking an Electrical CAD Drafter to join our team! As a CAD Drafter you will be working closely with the design team to draft drawings in AutoCAD to specifications that are detailed, accurate, and visually appealing. You will follow company CAD guidelines for all processes, including naming conventions, data storage, and layout standards. The ideal candidate has experience with AutoCAD/Revit or engineering, excellent communication skills, and works well within a team environment.
Qualifications:
 
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Must have Commercial lighting, power and electrical distribution system design/drafting experience.
  • Effective communication and problem solving skills.
  • Experience preparing commercial construction documents using AutoCAD and/or REVIT. 
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Capable of time management and continued organization.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team or individually.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
 
  • Review Electrical  project scope, budget, necessary constraints and design approach with Project Manager and/or client.
  • Prepare construction documents for  electrical lighting and power systems for various projects using AutoCAD.
  • Confer with other consultants, clients, and contractors to resolve issues and provide technical information/solutions.
  • Discuss and provide feedback on equipment selections with manufacturers’ representatives and project managers. 
  • Review applicable design standard requirements, codes and regulations as they relate and impact design development.
  • Complete assignments in a timely manner required to meet deadlines.
